Signing For God: November 2013

Welcome to the beginning of my adventure. I just celebrated Thanksgiving with Mark, Kira and Joshua. It is wonderful having the children home from college but we are missing Breana. We did get to SKYPE with her today. My SKYPE sessions with Breana in Japan are preparing me for to many SKYPE sessions I will have with my family when I get to Belize. I am treasuring every minute I have with my family. God is good!

Kathy Miller

Hi, My name is Kathy Miller and I am a wife and mother of three college age children from Maryland. In October 2013, God called me to a six month journey of faith and adventure in Orange Walk Belize. On December 30, I will be answering the call to interpret for an 8^th grade student and to support the ministry of Jesus' Deaf Church in Orange Walk.

My interest in signing started at a Mennonite Youth Convention in 1981. It was my first experience seeing an interpreter and my first exposure to sign language. God planted a seed in me at that convention. It took many years for me to give the seed the nurturing it needed to sprout and grow. I believe that God is allowing me this opportunity to grow and bloom beyond anything I could have imagined. I am excited about the many possibilities working in Belize will provide for me as an interpreter and in my personal walk with God. Thank you for taking this journey with me.
